French Wine Scholar in Paris

Beginning in 2024, I will have the privilege to instruct the French Wine Scholar (FWS) certification program at the Oenovino Wine School.

For those unfamiliar, the FWS program is a meticulous exploration of French wines. It delves into every region, unraveling the historical contexts, distinctive terroirs, and age-old winemaking traditions. As an academic pursuit, it's designed not just to impart knowledge but to foster a deeper appreciation and understanding of what makes French wines truly unique.

Paris, a timeless international hub, provides an unparalleled backdrop to this course. And, while I am deeply rooted in French culture and traditions, I recognize the universal allure of French wines. Therefore, in an effort to cater to a broader audience, the program will be conducted in English.

Having journeyed regularly through various wine regions from Provence to Burgundy, and having had the opportunity to immerse myself in the vibrant world of wines, both as a student and an educator, I've come to cherish the constant learning this field offers. With every class, we won't just be exploring the wines; we'll be embarking on an academic journey, one that melds history, culture, and the science of viticulture.

To all those passionate about wine, be it an enthusiastic novice or a seasoned professional, I extend a warm invitation. Join me in 2024 at Oenovino, Paris, as we journey through the vineyards and châteaux of France, one glass, one story at a time.
